How to add and manage credentials on elastic.io

To use most of the available connectors you require to enter some sort of credentials to verify the account you want to access with a connector. You can add your credentials while setting up an integration flow as I’m doing it here on the example of the pet store connector.

Alternatively, you can navigate to the credentials page and add credentials there. This is also the place where you can see which connectors already have credentials – maybe, added by your teammates –, and where you can edit and delete credentials.

Depending on a connector, the ways to verify your accounts vary. For example, with Google Spreadsheets, you can authenticate it quickly and easily via the Google API. For other connectors, such as database, more details will be required. Last but not least, some connectors offer you several different methods for authentication – take this REST API connector.
