Basics of Performance, Security, and Accessibility Testing | Federico Toledo | #TestFlix 2023

In this insightful presentation, Federico Toledo challenges the traditional distinction between functional and non-functional testing, urging testers to prioritize essential aspects that contribute significantly to the overall quality of an application. Federico highlights the misconception that non-functional aspects are separate from functionality, emphasizing that issues related to security, performance, or accessibility can profoundly impact an application's functionality.

Throughout the talk, Federico introduces valuable techniques and tools designed to enhance a tester's ability to observe the system effectively during functional testing. By unveiling non-functional risks and delving into the basics of performance, security, and accessibility, testers gain a comprehensive understanding of how these aspects are intertwined with overall functionality. Federico also introduces practical tools that empower testers to start learning and implementing non-functional testing strategies.

Whether you're a seasoned tester or just starting in the field, Federico Toledo's talk provides valuable insights and tools to improve your testing approach. Discover the interconnected nature of functional and non-functional aspects and learn how to navigate them effectively to ensure the highest quality for the applications you test.
