November 17, 2021 — Testlio, the originator of networked testing, today announced the launch of its new Business Software Practice. While Testlio serves clients in all major industry categories, business software has now become the company’s fastest growing segment, representing more than 30% of current customers.

With the launch, Dan Minahan joined as Director, Business Software Practice to focus on service strategy. Testlio also promoted Ross Trampler to Director, Business Software to lead commercial relationships and aligned Jessica Strock, Testing Team Manager, to oversee testing delivery.

The business software market was valued at $390 billion in 2020 while the software testing market exceeded $40 billion in 2020. Testlio addresses the massive intersection of testing and business software with a set of solutions tuned for the industry’s unique needs. The practice is focused on enabling faster releases, exceptional quality outcomes, and brilliant customer experiences, all while recognizing the challenges of testing across roles, configurations, feature flags, and more.

Testlio business software testing solutions include:

  • Integrated Testing: Incorporating shift left and shift right concepts that blend machine and human approaches to functional and regression testing.
  • Episodic Testing: Providing critical testing capabilities around user experience, localization, accessibility, payments, and performance on demand.
  • Two-sided Testing: Tackling complicated testing situations that include administrative consoles and complex employee workflows, across multiple configurations and integrations.
  • Burstable Testing: Bringing teams of dozens or even hundreds of testers to critical release moments, across the devices, languages, and locations that matter.

These offerings are delivered via a powerful combination of Testlio software, integrations, services, and freelancers. With Testlio, companies can have a single, flexible, strategic partner to serve their product, engineering, and quality teams, often at a lower cost than alternative testing approaches.

Testlio currently works with over 50 business software companies of all sizes. Ranging from large corporations like Microsoft and SAP, to industry leaders like Xero and TripActions, to emerging companies like eCatholic and WorkJam, Testlio has models that fit a broad range of budget, resource, speed, and location demands.

“This is a critical time for business software vendors as they continue to support new ways of working and operating along with increasingly high expectations around quality and usability,” said Steve Semelsberger, CEO of Testlio. “I am thrilled that Jessica, Ross, and Dan are combining forces to launch and build our Business Software Practice. Their combined experiences, comradery, passion, and dedication is world-class. I’m beyond confident that our existing customers, and others in the business software industry, will love working with them.”

Dan Minahan joins Testlio from Red Hat with a career spanning Booz Allen and MIT. Ross Trampler is a West Point graduate with key experiences at Oracle and business software startups. Jessica Strock has more than 12 years of experience leading Quality Assurance for business software companies.
