Welcome to the "Walk" stage of the Cloud Migration Journey, where we will take you through the second phase of the migration process. In this stage, we will show you how to de-risk and lift-and-shift your connections during the migration process to the cloud using Konnect and Kong Mesh.

In the "Walk" stage, we will focus on deploying the Kong Mesh control plane and the on-prem mesh zone. We will also reconfigure the Konnect runtime-instance so that communication between the runtime-instance and the monolith occurs over the mesh.

This phase builds on the first phase, where we deployed the monolith and Konnect runtime instance and onboarded the monolith to Konnect. By the end of the "Walk" stage, you will have successfully set up a hybrid deployment model for your applications, where your on-premises infrastructure works in conjunction with your cloud infrastructure.
