Working together, we will bring new levels of efficiency to attractions while enhancing the guest experience at both locations.

Rainforest QA is a distributed team. We have been distributed for seven years, with have Rainforesters all over the world and a truly global culture. On this seven year journey we have learned many lessons on how to run a global company with a coherent culture. According to the team our offsites are the most impactful thing we do to drive our distributed culture. With that in mind, here are some of our tips and learnings after doing ~20 offsites in 5 years.

It was an exciting journey in coming together with our community last week at Kong Summit 2019. I want to take a moment to appreciate the experience we shared, our major product announcements, and what all this means for the future of Kong and building software. Kong Summit was an amazing, energetic 48 hours that brought together more than 500 attendees from 28 countries, representing our open source users and enterprise customers, as well as numerous cloud native industry leaders.

In recent surveys, 71.8% of executives agreed that AI will have the greatest impact on their firms over the next decade and 54.4% of them signified that an inability to leverage data as an effective weapon against competitors is their greatest data threat¹. Based on this, it is clear that data and data analytics are key to an organization’s success.

Today we hear from Felix Perdana, engineering manager at Traveloka, on how the company uses the Apigee API management platform to become a one-stop travel and lifestyle platform in Southeast Asia and beyond. Traveloka uses APIs to grow and consolidate its inventories while bringing customers and partners together to book flights, vehicles, hotels, and vacation packages.
