We’re all familiar with the internet, especially since we use it to do almost all of our daily activities. Since the days of that familiar buzzing noise of AOL dial-up as it connected to somewhere out there in the stratosphere, we’ve been hooked on the internet and its vast space that holds endless amounts of information, ready for us to tap into right at our fingertips.
Many people think because we’re an online business, with technology at the heart of everything we do, we’d be better placed than many to make the transition from in-person meetings to virtual meetings during the pandemic. It’s a new year and what better way to start working from home for the 10th month of the pandemic than with a Slack outage. We hear endlessly how the tech industry lacks women, how the gender pay gap is still an issue and how we still lack women in high managerial positions. But we still don’t know why this is.
