Qlik Lineage Connectors is a new offering that provides lineage related insights for QlikView, Qlik Sense client-managed and other on premise BI applications and data sources such as Tableau, PowerBI, Oracle, Azure SQL and Snowflake. It also offers a visual data lineage capability integrated with Qlik Sense SaaS, allowing you to see the complete history of those assets without having to access multiple systems. In this scenario I am considering migrating my Windows on-premise Qlik Sense client-managed environment over to Qlik Sense SaaS.

This week we introduce a simple style improvement to the KPI chart object. KPI charts provide simple summarized views of your data that help track the performance of your metrics – better known as Key Performance Indicators. In case you missed it - a number of styling improvements have been implemented over time such as responsive behavior, a large library of conditional symbol icons, custom color schemes and alignment options.

Recently we added some Data Warehouse connectors for Amazon Redshift, Google Big Query and Snowflake allowing your workflows to utilize data management operations such as inserts, deletions, updates, SQL queries and even API requests. We’ve also added a connector to work with our new automated machine learning environment AutoML as well as a number of remote application and event management connectors that work with Dbt, UI Path and Splunk.

This week we introduce new Insight Advisor auto-generated period over period analysis chart types presented in the form of a period over period analysis dashboard. Exploring data in Discovery Mode, using Insight Advisor, will automatically create a period over period analysis dashboard for you to explore when using date fields and those defined calendar periods within business logic.

Catalog KPIs: These KPIs help you understand key metrics of apps, data, notes, automations and monitored charts viewable in the catalog. The indicators represent usage and views of each item such as how many apps are using a particular data set, what items are being used most- including a trend indicator showing more, less or no change in views over a 28 day period.
