Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is a powerful process – replacing manual, error prone and expensive operations with automated, consistent and quick provisioning of resources. In many cases, IaC is dependent on existing infrastructure, typically including a configuration management system. Amazon API Gateway is a managed service that allows developers to define the HTTP endpoints of a REST API and connect those endpoints with the corresponding backend business logic.

With the explosion of cloud services, microservices – and the increasing demands of digital transformation – enterprises are adding and removing business applications at a breakneck pace. Most large businesses are juggling an average of 788 custom business applications, and the number is growing.
