By now you may have seen the news that Sauce Labs has acquired API Fortress, a leading provider of modern API testing solutions for agile and DevOps teams. This is an exciting milestone for us, and we are thrilled to welcome the capable API Fortress team into the Sauce Labs team! We’re happy to announce the release of gRPC support for Insomnia, now available in the 2020.5 release. With gRPC support, developers can make requests to gRPC backend services just like they can today with REST / GraphQL services from Insomnia.
November was a big month for Loadero in terms of updates. Many in the community have been asking us to develop a new Kafka to S3 connector for some time. So we’re pleased to announce it's now available. It’s been designed to deliver a number of benefits over existing S3 connectors. Like our other Stream Reactors, the connector extends the standard connect config adding a parameter for a SQL command (Lenses Kafka Connect Query Language or “KCQL”). This defines how to map data from the source (in this case Kafka) to the target (S3).

Kong Enterprise 2.2 is built on top of version 2.2 of our popular open source gateway and brings with it a slew of new features and some Enterprise-only features on top. Let’s dive in! For a long time, Kong has supported not only HTTP/HTTPS traffic with REST and gRPC APIs, but also raw TCP streams. In version 2.2, we now extend our support to include UDP-based protocols as well!
